Reducing heat loss and evaporation

Using a swimming pool cover can significantly reduce the amount of heat loss endured while the swimming pool is not in use and in turn reduce heating costs, also reducing chemical evaporation and condensation levels.

Bench Storage System

The Slatted Commercial Reel System or also know as a Bench Type Reel Storage System is manufactured by from Stainless Steel and has a hardwood slatted top to help protect the pool cover. It is fitted with a five to 1 reduction gearbox to assist in the removal of the pool cover with minimal effort. The bench system can either be fixed to the edge of the pool or portable fitted with 150mm castors which allows the bench to be stored away from the edge of the pool but easily manoeuvred to the pool edge when the cover is needed.

This reel system should be bolted to the surface as close to the pool edge as possible so that the cover does not drag on coping stones. If it is not possible to bolt the reel down 150mm casters can be added to mobilise the reel. See table above for caster quantities required.

Ideal for larger swimming pools with lots of activity

The Commercial Slatted Reel System has a framework made from polished high-grade stainless steel with a protective hardwood top. Can be positioned using its 150mm (6”) stainless steel castors or fixed to the deck close to the pool.

A practical bench type storage reel system and swimming pool cover

This Reel System provides a solid, hardwearing and attractive bench surround for your cover and is available in sizes up to 10.4m (34”) in length. The majority of Reel Systems up to 9.1m (30”) are produced with a 127mm (5”) diameter aluminium tube. Reel Systems over this size are produced with a 219mm (8 ½”) or a 304mm (12”) diameter stainless steel tube. A 6:1 reduction gearbox is fitted as standard for ease of use, alternately, this system can be motorised.

Note: If cover length exceeds maximum as indicated then 152mm an aluminium tube is required.
A reduction gearbox is also recommended for covers over 140sqm.
